Hi, everyone, I just wanted to pass along information about an abstract sculpture on the playa this year, constructed by my DC burner friends Mer and Joel. I will be lending them a hand. Please come out between 3:00 and the Man and check it out! Here is the full information posted by Mer today:

Hello Mysterians! I finally have all of the photo booth strips online, and I would like to get them to you. If you were in the photo booth at some point and would like a private link to your photo strips, please contact me. I met and know many of you, but regretfully I was unable to get to know everyone's name (or "playa name," as the case may be). So if I don't know you, please describe your lovely selves and I will figure out which photos you are in and send you a link.

hey DSB friends! If you sent me an email in the last couple of weeks or so and you never heard back from me, it's probably because there is a computer somewhere I am not that is downloading my emails before I can see them! I thought the problem was fixed but it's not.

So I'm not being rude -- I'm being technically challenged! Hope to see everyone soon at Transformus!!!

Nelson (my min pin) and I have launched our 2007 summer RV travels and it's been an amazingly great start!  We first went to Deerfields for the Transformus work weekend and parked the RV and trailer in the amphitheater field.  The weekend started our rainy and poor conditions for spreading gravel, but I helped paint Gizmo's Love Boat and otherwise had a great time.  The brothers Greg and John J were extremely hospitable.

Armadillo and crew put on the DC/VA Burning Man Film Festival this past weekend, and I brought the old photo booth but also my new Xbooth(tm) with me so people could take trippy photos and take home their photo strips. Larry Harvey, who was speaking at the film festival, took a few photos. (Click "read more" below to see him.)

Thanks to Unga Bunga John and his super cool UngaDome^TM, I now have dome structures on the brain. It happens every once in awhile since one of my first burn events about six years ago, when I helped Peter-with-the-new-bus assemble one of his dome structures at PDF.

Hi DSB friends, I am writing to you not from my normal cubbyhole in Arlington, Virginia, but from Westerville, Ohio. It's been lovely and in the 70's here today, but expected to snow on Friday. Huh.

Hey all, I've been a ranger at past burn events and I can tell you that it's a great way to give to the community and also to meet everyone. It's not hard and I want to encourage anyone thinking about it to inquire. For large and growing events like Transformus, having a sufficient number of rangers is very tough. So I am passing this along from Sidewinder, the ranger team lead:

MYSTERIA RANGERS
The Mysteria Rangers are a corps of volunteers dedicated to the well-being of their fellow participants. We are not cops and we are not your mother. Our primary duties are public safety and public information. And oh yeah, we have a lot of fun too.

I'm going to be making extreme quantities of extremely delicious sushi (maki and nigiri) at an upcoming regional event. If it works out well, I'm going to scale it up to insane Burning Man heights. My friend Rick took these photos of the birth of my new obsession.
