Hi burner brothers and sisters!I had a great time at Alchemy and FreeFall, but being fifty years old and doing back to back burn weekends is a bitch. Still, the two burns were just wonderful meeting all my old friends and new ones. The art, art cars, costumes, performances, and theme camps just keep getting better and more creative making the event so much better.

Is DSB doing Alchemy?  I just checked Alchemy's site and DSB is NOT a registered theme camps. Alchemy does have 17 theme camps already registered!!!!!! 

This was my ninth burn including 5 in the desert and 4 at Deerfields and this was by far the best ever. :) It was so wonderful to see all my burner friends and meet new ones. I have pics up at : http://www.jennjacobsen.com/tformus2007/

We are putting together a PA system for the stage and we need someone to transport a pair of 15" PA speakers from Tucker Ga, zip=30084 to Deerfields. Jace on transformus.com has the speakers.

I started thinking about the dirty southern burners (DSB) after the previous post about the DSB theme camp. Well, all of the burners in the south east are not represented in the DSB. I am proposing a DSB villiage at Burning Man (BM). In case anyone doesn't know, a BM villiage is a group of theme camps loosely connected to their villiage in some kind of common theme. The DSB villiage will get a marker on the official BM map and gain status amongst our fellow burners. The south east theme camps I know of so far are: Florida Phamily, Big Puffy Yellow. I'm sure there are a few more. A requirement for a villiage is that there needs to be at least 150 people. I think we can easily pull that off. The result will be a closer bond with all the southern burners using the DSB as the connection. I'm volunteering to spearhead this effort if the feedback warrants it.

What a great event! Here are a few highlights: the private party walk through, the trombone player, the liquor store takeover, the Clairmont (no wait, that was a lowlilght), the street scenes and Santa down, the recovery breakfast, but most of all, seeing all my burner friends! Happy holidays.
