Etc/GMT-5

It's that time again. It's been too long since we have had a MnG here in Atl. We had Abby and Grundle offer up space at Abby's house. We will have the Oct Atl MnG at their house on Oct 20th. We will be able to fire perform, have a big fire Sat night and camp out on site. Also if you have musical talent, bring it and whatever you're good at. Noise is needed!! If you want to drink and stay, all you have to do is bring your tent. We will be camping out that night, not that you have to, but considering it's in Covington, most of us Atl folks will want to stay. We will be doing a potluck dinner. Theme is up to yall, give us some ideas and let's make it happen. Also, we would like to do the same for breakfast, so if we can get some to help out w/ dinner and others to help w/ breakfast, that would be awesome. Address will be posted tonight so you can get directions. Since its only a week away from haloween, your costumes are welcome. Any other questions, feel free to ask! ROCK ON! Chw

Location

654 Harris Rockmore Rd
Covington, GA, 30014
See map: Google Maps, Yahoo! Maps, MapQuest

Using tiki torch smoke or smokey cheap lamp oil with those fire toys and burning art pieces to make a big white puffy cloud just to obscure the google satellite, how very clever those burners are..

As a reminder please bring alcohol for the bar, so that we can inhibit your sobriety once more.   ~*~Miss Froggie*~*

By the way, I just checked Yahoo Maps and Mapquest and they are both giving asinine directions! Give me a few days and I will post some that will be much better, or else we will have a lot of you lost in Rockdale County, which is just NO fun at all!!!  ~*~Miss Froggie*~*

So I did some research and finally figured out the easiest way to get to mi madre's casa. It might not be the shortest way, but it's the way with the least amount of turns. Take I-20 W toward Augusta. Get off on Exit #82 (Conyers/138). Take a Left off the exit onto 138 (unless you are traveling I-20 E toward Atlanta, then take a Right). You will be on 138 for a while heading toward Athens. You will take a Right onto 81 from 138 (look for an intersection with a Fire Station on your Left, a Gas Station on your Right, another Gas Station across the street on the Left, and finally a liquor store across the street on the Right - by the way, this liquor store may be a good stop for booze if needed). After taking the Right onto 81 you will travel a little over a mile. When you get over the big hill you will take a Left onto Walnut Grove Jersey Road. Then you will travel down about another mile and will turn Right on the 3rd street, Harris Rockmore Road (this road is just over a hill and when you take the Right it will go down a small hill). This is the street my mom's house is off of. You are looking for 654 Harris Rockmore Road, it will be on the Left hand side. I'm sure it won't be missable because there will already be a few cars there.  I hope this helps. Any questions, lemme know! 10 days... YAY! My mom is looking forward to meeting all of you! ~*~Miss Froggie*~*

So, yeah... my mother is so excited about all us freaks coming over and taking over her yard... surprisingly enough! My momma is a down south good ole southern belle and is so hospitable, so you will all feel at home and like children of her own for the night! Her name is Dee! My step-dad, David, is a dead head! He's been to over 140 dead shows, so you all know that he will fit right in with the bunch of us! He's looking forward to playing a little guitar with whomever wants to jam with him and just hearing stories and sharing some of his own in return.  They have set aside a place for us to have a bon-fire, a place for all of us who want to stay to setup tents, and we get free reign of the porch for our potluck meals! ALSO, I'm going to try to get my mom to make her famous homemade (from scratch) buscuits and sausage gravy... my god it's so good!!!  As Chw said, feel free to wear Halloween costumes. Because they live out in the middle of nowhere, my mom doesn't get a lot of kids for trick-or-treating, so she would just love it if we gave her the chance! ALSO, they have 2 Springer Spaniels. The black and white one is Casey and the brown and white puppy is Maggie. They are super friendly and loving, but they may jump and bark from excitement when they first see you!  With all that said, my family and I are looking forward to all of you coming and enjoying a Meet-n-Greet with us!!! Can't wait to see you all there!!! XOXOXOXOXO ~*~Miss Froggie*~*

My mom says to "tell the sausage dude Mild please, he's more than welcome to bring Hot if he wants, but Mild would be better". That cracked me up, I've never heard my mom says "dude" before! HEHE! :) BubbaJohn, she got sooooooo excited when I told her you were bringing homemade sausage! She just thought that was the coolest thing. I appreciate it too because this worked out so much better than I had hoped because now my mom gets to experience the art/act of gifting that we all live by! Thank you!!! We'll turn my mom into a Burner yet folks!  P.S. Good directions coming soon, probably this weekend!~*~Miss Froggie*~*
