Playa del Fuego Art Grants Applications

Hey DSBurners, if you are considering bringing your art to Playa del Fuego, now is the time to apply for a grant! Here is the info from Jamie:

The mission of the Art Grants Committee is to put more ART in the pARTy!
Art Grants is dedicated to providing varying sizes of art grants to help defray participants' cost of creating art for Playa Del Fuego. The application is up on the website.

Applications for the Spring 2007 event will be accepted through Feb. 1, 2007 and will be reviewed by the committee. Recipients will receive notification by March 1 of approval/etc.*

Please do not wait until the last minute to apply: we usually have questions for each artist in order to better understand the plan/safety/interaction, etc. and this takes time.

You may either apply online via the link on Playa Del Fuego's website, or print out the application and send it to the following address:

* This month gives the Art Grants committee time to blind the applications, the judges review the applications, if it involves fire, fire safety is examined as well; and the time also allows questions or concerns back and forth between the artist and the judges/fire safety people.
