What can we do to the site to make it better?

Hey guys many of you I met at either Tfus this year or the DSB reunion, but for those of you who don't I am Brian. I am going to be doing some revision to the website to make it a little nicer and such. I need some help from all of you guys as to what I can do to make it better. Any and all suggestions are welcome and really appreciated. Thanks a bunch in advance and I hope to do a great job for you all. cheers!

my main thoughts are making it easy to carry on conversations, setup/view events, some sort of chat feature... ummmm im sure there is more, im just not thinking very good rightnow, off to bed. Thanks Brian, you ROCK! oh yeah, keeping login info so we dont have to make everyone re register. im sure ill have more at another time. Thanks again!

this is something I thought looked cool. we can edit pretty much everything on here and add a calander and make it easy to look at monthly events. the (subscribe to RSS) button can be a link to the forums.

I like it. I do want to work on a new logo for DSb that works for stickers, web logo and tee shirts... any thoughts?

send me Ideas on the logos and color combos and I will work on some drafts

maybe post up a few sketches or ruff ideas for the logo and ill see if I can get something done with it.

I would also suggest brighter colors possibly warm colors. who is working on the logo?

if you can come up with some sketches or even just something simple in paint to give ideas I can work on spin offs and such.

here's one... under the events section we need one that is just a southern meet and greet/events page... Only atlanta and alabama isn't enough, where would folks from tennessee or asheville post an event?

Or maybe just an events page up at the top so we can see what's going on that we can go to and have some fun. maybe I missed it if so point it out to me.

the calendar is pretty good, but I think it should be more visible, maybe an update every month for any events going on...

I'd like to see this site get as popular as the old one was, i'm sad that it isn't... I think with a little more fun things for people to do and talk about it might get back up and running again.

on the plus side, it works with my apple, and even with my weird browser (opera) with minimal glitches.

good job on the upkeep, lets try and make it so folks would use it more often. I think more events being posted will help and I'm more than willing to do my part ;-)

thanks for the suggestions. Currently my PC is on the fritz so im owrking on getting things back and running to get this site hopping in time to grow interest for all the great events to come. Please guys keep the comments coming, only your ideas can make this a great site

ok guys back in action here and im ready to get some work done. So lets gather these ideas back up and start moving forward.

As far as the forum goes, Do you like the color scheme of it? would you like another color or colors?

would you like a main site (blog) that we can put events in and general information about burns?

How about pictures and logos?

how are we promoting the site now? can we think of ways to get it out there a little more and get people posting?

sorry I havent been giving this much attention lately some PC issues and well lets face it life issues have been in the way but id like to get on this full force now so lets see what we can come up with!

sweet, glad to see even a little bit of activity back on here. I think Ms. Maya will be organizing the DSB reunion #2, as far as I know it will be here in murphy again unless someone has a better suggestion for a free place. Maybe we can keep the local teenagers from finding out about it this time...

anyhow I still think we should have a general events/meet and greet page/forum. I like the calendar, but maybe have this month's calendar show up wherever you are at on the site maybe in the corner or something, that way if anything is going on this month it would be hard to miss.

I'm extremely ignorant when it comes to web design and implementation so I don't know if what I'm asking is hard to do or not, forgive me...


We need to start having some meet and greets and promoting the site at the party/promoting the party on the site. Seems like that would be a good way to get it happening again. I'm going right now to post a gathering...
