This may seem like an inane question, but I have never camped with a theme camp. I am usually off with friends on our own, or on my own.  So what exactly is involved in camping with a theme camp?  I definitely want to be a part of DSB at Flipside, but not sure exactly how I am going about that yet...so help in the decision process would be greatly appreciated. :)*hugs and happiness*

....sorry. I couldn't resist. I have stayed with two theme camps at Tfus: Sweaty Virgins in 2005 and Bahama Mama's in 2006. My take on the experience is that you get out of a theme camp exactly what you put into it. Buddha worked my ASS off in 2005 getting the camp infrastructure built, but we had the sweetest chill space you ever saw. I like to cook, so I've always provided some commual food. In another theme camp, you might man the hookah, or run the video, or apply the lotion.  Mmmm. Lotion.  I guess there are as many different jobs in a theme camp as there are theme camps. I can only imagine what those nasty DSBs will want you to do, but you just tell them no means no...unless you don't mean no, in which case you can tell them no means maybe later. Sure wish I was going. C'mon, POWERBALL!

I hope to be as close to the epicenter (as in earthquake) of the Dirty Southern Burner crew as possible.  I've got shade and chairs and crap.  As long as people don't party on my stuff and then bugger off leaving a mess I'm cool.  And I'm not a neat freak, either.  So I guess I'm saying that I want to talk about the Flipside, Transformus and Burning Man theme camp/village plans, especially since my traveling circus of a lifestyle is about to start for the summer burn season.  Hooray!!!!!

I know that Gizmo, the Kernel and I wanted to ride with you Mustang.  Vespa and Bash were up in the air about transportation.  Phyrebolt, Chew and Maya also were talking about road tripping.  It would be awesome if we could all coordinate.  Danielle is flying.  Tyler is flying but camping with us.

I'm not going to Flipside, but it just occurs to me it'd be good for  that to have a yahoogroup (or something similar) if it doesn't already.  I certainly don't mind reading posts about burns I'm not making and lusting after them, but it could help you guys significantly to have all your info in one location, with archives and shit.  Have a blast at Flipside!    Sarah

Since the people I'm thinking of all chatter on this site, I think we can keep adding stuff to the "DSB Tears Up Flipside" group here.  I am even going to hijack K-Lo's blog entry to add it to that group so this gets emailed out.  (Hi all you Flipside peeps!)
